Accreditation Unit

About the Unit

The Accreditation Unit, operating under the Vice Deanship for Quality and Accreditation at the Deanship of Development and Quality, King Khalid University, is responsible for managing and monitoring institutional and program accreditation projects and preparing academic programs to achieve and maintain accreditation. The Unit monitors accreditation readiness and compliance with accreditation requirements, coordinates external accreditation visits and reviews, and liaises with accreditation agencies and relevant stakeholders. It also provides technical support and consultancy services and prepares periodic reports, contributing to enhanced academic quality and continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Manage and monitor institutional and program accreditation projects.

  2. Prepare academic programs to achieve accreditation.

  3. Organize and manage external accreditation visits and reviews.

  4. Monitor the accreditation readiness of academic programs and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.

  5. Coordinate with accreditation agencies and relevant stakeholders.

  6. Provide technical support and consultancy services in accreditation-related matters.

  7. Prepare periodic reports on the Unit’s activities, achievements, progress, performance indicators, and challenges; submit them to the relevant administration; and propose solutions and opportunities for continuous improvement and development.
