The Vice Deanship for Academic Plans and Programs Development at the Deanship of Development and Quality, King Khalid University, is responsible for leading the development of academic plans and programs and enhancing teaching and learning practices in alignment with the University’s strategic directions and objectives.
The Vice Deanship oversees the establishment of new academic programs and the development of existing ones, ensuring their alignment with national development priorities and labor market needs. It also provides support to colleges in developing and improving their academic programs and study plans.
Furthermore, the Vice Deanship seeks to leverage academic expertise to provide professional and consultancy services that contribute to the University’s financial sustainability.
The Vice Deanship carries out its responsibilities through three specialized and integrated units: the Academic Programs and Study Plans Development Unit, the Teaching and Learning Unit, and the New Academic Programs Development Unit. Together, these units ensure coordinated efforts in academic program development and continuous improvement in the quality of educational outcomes.
