Dr. Riadh Marzouki… Excellence in Scientific Research and Digital Transformation
As part of its “Distinguished Members” section, the Deanship of Development and Quality at King Khalid University highlights Dr. Riadh Marzouki, Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science and Advisor to the Deanship of Development and Quality, in recognition of his excellence in scientific research and digital transformation.
Dr. Marzouki received King Khalid University’s Scientific Research Excellence Award in 2024 and the Digital Transformation Ambassadors Excellence Award in 2025, as part of the ninth edition of King Khalid University’s Excellence Awards, reflecting his achievements in both research and digital transformation.
He began his scientific career in 2010 as a researcher at the Laboratory of Materials Chemistry and Crystallography at the University of Tunis El Manar, alongside his teaching work at the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis. He earned his PhD in Materials Chemistry and Crystallography in 2013 from the University of Tunis El Manar, in collaboration with the University of Grenoble, France, and obtained his Habilitation in Chemistry from the University of Sfax in 2020.
In 2014, he became an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Sfax. He subsequently joined the College of Science at King Khalid University as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2022. He continues his academic work in the Department of Chemistry alongside his advisory role at the Deanship of Development and Quality.
These honours reflect the breadth of his achievements and the integration of his academic and research experience with his commitment to institutional development and digital transformation, contributing to the University’s continued pursuit of excellence.
