The Standards and Specifications Unit, operating under the Vice Deanship for Quality and Accreditation at the Deanship of Development and Quality, King Khalid University, is responsible for developing and implementing standards and management systems, as well as preparing administrative entities to obtain, maintain, and renew certificates of conformity. The Unit monitors certification requirements and audit findings, coordinates with certification bodies and external auditors, and promotes professional competency development. It also provides technical support and consultancy services to relevant entities, thereby strengthening compliance with established standards, supporting continuous improvement, and promoting institutional excellence.
Monitor updates to institutional standards, guidelines, and specifications related to management systems and quality assurance, and utilize them to enhance the University’s quality assurance and accreditation framework.
Lead projects to prepare administrative entities for management system certification, and oversee the maintenance and renewal of their certifications.
Oversee compliance with certification requirements and monitor the implementation of audit findings and recommendations.
Coordinate with certification bodies and external auditors to conduct assessments and facilitate the issuance and renewal of certificates of conformity.
Develop and enhance professional competencies in standards, management systems, and internal auditing, and support staff in obtaining relevant professional certifications.
Provide technical support and consultancy services to relevant entities in implementing standards and management systems, and monitor their level of compliance.
Prepare periodic reports on the Unit’s activities, achievements, progress, performance indicators, and challenges; submit them to the relevant administration; and propose solutions and opportunities for continuous improvement and development.
