University President Launches “Internal Auditor” Program to Advance Institutional Excellence

His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Sulami, officially launched the “Internal Auditor” Program on Sunday. The program is delivered by the Deanship of Development and Quality in collaboration with the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), in the presence of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam. This initiative reflects the University’s strategic commitment to strengthening institutional excellence frameworks and advancing their practical implementation.

The program marks a significant step in the University’s ongoing efforts to build national capacity by preparing qualified internal auditors with the competencies required to apply institutional excellence standards, assess organizational performance, and identify areas for improvement using well-established scientific methodologies. These efforts contribute to fostering a sustainable and high-performing institutional environment.
Furthermore, the program plays a vital role in reinforcing institutional self-assessment practices, improving overall performance efficiency, and promoting evidence-based decision-making. This aligns with the University’s strategic priorities and enhances its competitiveness at both national and international levels.

Commenting on the launch, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Hadi Al-Ghamdi, Dean of the Deanship of Development and Quality, emphasized that the program represents a progressive milestone in advancing excellence practices across the University. He highlighted its role in strengthening institutional capabilities to conduct effective self-assessments, manage performance indicators with professionalism, and translate evaluation outcomes into impactful development initiatives.
He further noted that the program reflects the University’s commitment to adopting systematic approaches grounded in continuous analysis and evaluation, ultimately contributing to improved output quality, enhanced performance efficiency, and greater readiness to meet institutional excellence and accreditation requirements.

The Deanship of Development and Quality Holds the First Meeting for Institutional Excellence Ambassadors:

Under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, the first meeting of institutional excellence ambassadors from the university's colleges was inaugurated with a speech emphasizing the importance of disseminating a culture of institutional excellence and quality, and supporting development initiatives that contribute to raising performance efficiency and achieving the university's strategic goals.

The meeting, organized by the Deanship of Development and Quality, comes within the framework of its efforts to promote institutional excellence and activate the role of excellence ambassadors in the colleges.

Following this, His Excellency the Dean of Development and Quality, Dr. Mohammed bin Hadi Al-Ghamdi, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees and reviewed the institutional excellence initiative, explaining its importance in improving institutional performance, its most prominent priorities, and the pivotal role entrusted to excellence ambassadors in supporting its implementation and spreading its culture within the colleges.

His Excellency stressed the importance of integration and joint work between the Deanship and the ambassadors to achieve the goals of quality and excellence, pointing to the Deanship's role in providing the necessary support and empowerment to the colleges.

The meeting included an introductory session for attendees, along with constructive contributions and suggestions that enriched the discussion and facilitated the exchange of experiences.

Dr. Musfir Al-Shahrani, the Dean's Vice Dean for Quality, also gave a presentation detailing the initiative, outlining its objectives, the ambassadors' roles, and the immediate action plan, while emphasizing the importance of embedding quality within the institutional work environment.
