About the Unit

The Educational Programs and Training Unit, operating under the Continuing Education Office at the Deanship of Development and Quality, King Khalid University, is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering educational, training, professional, and executive programs that address community and labor market needs. The Unit develops training materials and implementation plans, coordinates with trainers, subject-matter experts, and academic entities, and oversees the delivery of in-person, online, and blended learning programs. It also ensures program quality, evaluates program impact and participant satisfaction, and promotes continuous improvement in continuing education services.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assess educational and training needs and translate them into continuing education programs that address community and labor market needs.
  2. Design and develop educational, training, professional, and executive programs for external participants and organizations.
  3. Develop and update training packages and academic content for professional, executive, and continuing education programs offered to the community and external organizations.
  4. Prepare implementation plans and schedules for educational and training programs.
  5. Manage the delivery of in-person, online, and blended learning programs and oversee their implementation.
  6. Identify and nominate qualified trainers and subject-matter experts, and coordinate with academic entities to leverage their expertise in program delivery.
  7. Monitor the quality of program delivery and ensure compliance with academic and organizational standards.
  8. Evaluate program quality, beneficiary satisfaction, and program impact, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  9. Prepare periodic reports on delivered programs, the Unit’s achievements, and its performance indicators, and submit them to the relevant administration.
  10. Prepare periodic reports on the Unit’s activities, achievements, progress, performance indicators, and challenges; submit them to the relevant administration; and propose solutions and opportunities for continuous improvement and development.
