The workshop aimed to raise participants’ awareness of mechanisms for aligning academic program objectives with the University’s strategic directions, as well as to develop skills in preparing integrated research and community service plans based on measurable and evaluable scientific standards.

Several key themes were addressed, including the conceptual framework of scientific research and community service, mechanisms for aligning objectives with institutional strategies, the development of alignment matrices linking objectives, activities, and performance indicators, and methods for performance measurement and impact evaluation.

The workshop also included practical applications and interactive exercises focused on developing comprehensive research plans and analyzing their alignment with the University’s strategic priorities. Emphasis was placed on the importance of documenting outputs and preparing supporting evidence and documentation, particularly in light of the requirements of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission.

At the conclusion of the workshop, it was emphasized that achieving excellence in scientific research and community service requires strategic planning based on the integration of program objectives with community needs and labor market demands, alongside continuous monitoring and impact measurement to ensure sustainable improvement.
