The Deanship of Development and Quality organized a workshop entitled “Program Specification: Alignment with the National Qualifications Framework and Accreditation Requirements” on Monday, 25/10/1447H, held at the Training Hall of the Deanship of Development and Quality. The workshop brought together a number of specialists and practitioners in the fields of quality assurance, academic accreditation, and program development.

The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ competencies in the preparation and development of academic program specifications in accordance with accreditation requirements and the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). It covered several key themes: establishing program identity and ensuring its strategic alignment, designing learning outcomes in line with the NQF, achieving constructive alignment between learning outcomes, curriculum, and assessment, as well as mechanisms for evidence documentation and continuous improvement. The session combined both theoretical and practical approaches and was delivered by Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Tawab Abdel Tawab Fadl, Advisor to the Deanship of Development and Quality.

The workshop witnessed strong engagement from participants, with active discussions, exchange of expertise, and sharing of practical experiences. It also featured applied models and auditing tools that contributed to enhancing participants’ understanding of effective learning outcomes formulation, matrix construction, and alignment with teaching strategies and assessment methods-thereby maximizing impact and strengthening professional practices in the field.
